Our Classes

We offer Chinese classes for all age groups, from preschool through to high school, integrating culture study, music, drama and STEM into Chinese lessons to engage our students.

lower primary warrior 1

Preschool

Practise school ready skills as well as learn Chinese. We integrate literacy and numeracy skills into our Chinese lessons for preschoolers. This students a head start, boosting their confidence as they settle into Kindergarten. Our classes give them the opportunity to interact with their peers and learn effectively.

Students learn Chinese through songs, stories, games, craft, costume design and drama.

Primary School

Our primary school Chinese program challenges and engages students academically, encouraging curiosity and interest in the Chinese language. Students engage in enjoyable activities where they interact with their peers using Chinese.

They explore a wide range of topics and content relevant to daily life and their personal interests. Students are introduced to both ancient and contemporary Chinese literature, gaining an appreciation for the culture reflected in these texts.

High School

Our high school Chinese program encourages students to apply their logical and analytical skills to learning Chinese. Our curriculum and teaching methods enable our students to learn Chinese effectively, encouraging them to use logical thinking to draw connections between new concepts and what they already know.

Our engaging classroom activities motivate students to work both independently and collaboratively with their peers. Students are prompted to gain a deeper appreciation of both ancient and contemporary Chinese literature, and explore the contrasts between Chinese and Australian cultures.

Exciting STEM Classes

Encourage your child to build their wonder and excitement through Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities, taught by our experienced science teacher.

Taught in Mandarin, these lessons allow students to gain a greater understanding of how STEM skills can be applied in real life to innovate and solve problems. In addition to participating in practical STEM projects, students study texts in Chinese relating to these experiments and topic areas.

Pasta car

Pasta Car STEM Challenge

Who knew pasta could zoom? In this innovative STEM lesson, students transformed pasta into high-speed racers! They experimented with shapes and designs, then raced their creations to crown the fastest pasta car. Alongside the fun, students dove into informative texts to understand the science behind their builds.

Halloween

Halloween Across Cultures

A spooky fusion of East and West! Students explored Halloween traditions in Chinese, combining language learning with cultural discovery. The fun continued with creative hands-on activities, like decorating balloons into festive characters—think ghosts, zombies, pumpkins, and lollies!

Seaweed Dance Phenomenon

Lights, camera, square dancing! Students embraced Chinese pop culture through the viral hit “Seaweed Dance.” They sang, analysed lyrics tied to Chinese philosophies, and explored the vibrant tradition of Guang Chang Wu—public square dancing that’s equal parts fitness and fun.

Fathers day-2

Father’s Day with AI Creativity

A heartfelt celebration powered by tech! Students voiced video characters, composed their own Father’s Day songs using AI, and designed personalised cards. This lesson combined language skills, creative expression, and cutting-edge AI tools to craft memorable tributes.

Exploring the Blue Mountains in Chinese

A breathtaking virtual journey! Students explored the iconic Blue Mountains via text, videos, and brochures in Chinese. They learned essential travel vocabulary, deciphered signs, and immersed themselves in the stunning landscapes of cable cars and bush trains.

End-of-Term Party Extravaganza

The term ended with a bang! Students celebrated with delicious treats, fun games, and interactive learning. From bingo to charades to a limbo showdown, the party doubled as a playful way to revise and connect.
